Christine Summerfield described him as a "scrawny, wrinkly little [man] with ugly glasses and too many personal problems".
Writing in her autobiography, Christine imagined a scenario involving London full of carefully chosen madmen including Christie, Chairman Mao, Ian Brady, Charles Manson, and Jack the Ripper, with spectators placing bets on who would be the last man standing.
