A man once appeared on television on Earth in the 2000s.
An image of the man was present among several broadcasts monitored by far future Cybermen. According to the Cyber-Leader, a "holistic profile of humanity's emotional state" had been established. (COMIC: The Flood [+]Loading...["The Flood (comic story)"])

The man, although unidentified in the story, heavily resembles John Kerry. Kerry was the Democratic Party's nominee for the 2004 United States presidential election, which took place during the release of The Flood. The image of Kerry in the story is possibly based on photographs of his election concession speech,[1] which he gave a month prior to the release of part six of the comic in DWM 351.
