John Podesta was the youngest brother of Victor Podesta who, with his brother, mother and father, ran a grocery store in New York City and was connected to organised crime.
He was killed in a mob-related knife attack in 1927 and his murder went unsolved. The knife that was used to kill him was still in the possession of the CIA in 2011 and Rex Matheson hoped to use the blood on it to trace the Three Families. (TV: The Gathering)
