Soon after getting a job at the Wenley Moor nuclear research facility, Dr John Quinn bought a cottage in Wenley Moor. After being told by Okdel L'da to find a wounded Silurian on the moor and bring it back to the Silurian base, Quinn instead found it and took it back to his cottage and kept it captive. However, the Silurian eventually escaped and killed Quinn. (TV: Doctor Who and the Silurians)
