Jossi and Karter were two friends who were trapped by the Lords of Jelsen and forced to participate in the race to the death against the Tenth Doctor and Heather McCrimmon. The Doctor engineered a draw and disrupted the capture system, by crashing a ship into the control tower. They made their escape and gave the Doctor and Heather a lift.
