On 17 June, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1966 - Episode two of The War Machines was recorded at Riverside Studios 1. (TCH 8)
- 1967 - Episode six of The Evil of the Daleks was recorded at Lime Grove Studios D. (TCH 10)
- 1969 - After being cast on 21 May, Jon Pertwee was introduced to the press as the Third Doctor in a special photo call at the BBC Pictorial Publicity building. He wore what he later described as his grandfather's old clothes:[1] a velvet smoking jacket, a frilly shirt and an Inverness cape.[2] He was accompanied by a Yeti.[3] While Pertwee would maintain that this total accident inspired Christine Rawlins to create his iconic costume, Rawlins herself said that she was already inspired to do the same thing from observing the title character of Adam Adamant Lives!.[1]

- 1987 - Studio filming for Paradise Towers took place at BBC Television Centre Studio 1. (Doctor Who The Handbook: The Seventh Doctor)
- 2013
- Cardiff exhibition Doctor Who Experience was shortlisted for the "Regional Tourism Award" in the Welsh National Tourism Awards, the winners to be announced on 21 November.
- The Big Finish audio story Death's Deal was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2016
- The Big Finish audio story Zaltys was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- Big Finish's audio anthology The Fourth Doctor Adventures Series 8: Volume 2 was recorded at Audio Sorcery.
- 2018 - Big Finish's Torchwood: The Story Continues audio anthology God Among Us 1 was recorded.
- 2019 - The second series of Big Finish's audio series Missy was recorded.
- 2020 - Big Finish's audio box set Dalek Universe 2 was recorded remotely.
- 2022
- Big Finish announced The Eighth Doctor Adventures audio anthologies What Lies Inside? and Connections.
- Big Finish's audio anthology In the Night was recorded.
