Karen Ellis was the daughter of Frank Ellis.
When Frank was in hospital, dying, Karen encountered Barbara Chesterton. She begged Barbara to visit her father. In Frank's room, Karen started acting strangely, going on and on about dying. Her eyes turned black, and when she grabbed Barbara's hand, Barbara could see five freckles in the shape of a W.
The next day Karen told Barbara and Ian that Frank had died. She took Barbara to the laboratory where she showed Barbara a cyst that had been removed from her father. She then took Barbara to her house, and attempted to kill her with a knife because she was jealous that Barbara could hear Frank's voice and she couldn't. Ian arrived and struck Karen. After Barbara and Ian freed the entity that had taken over Frank, Karen was back to normal and could grieve her father. (PROSE: Distance)
