Kidson was a native of the planet Publius. When the Druden invaded Publius and tried to disperse a plague to kill all the humans, he sacrificed his life by flying his Strato-Cruiser into the cave where they were hiding. The Fourth Doctor and K9 distributed an antidote which cured all those infected. (COMIC: Plague World)
