King of Aneth
The King of Aneth was the father of Princess Teka, who was one of the Anethan nobility chosen to give themselves as tribute to the Nimon to keep Aneth and their families safe. During the time of his parents, Aneth was invaded by the war-like Skonnans of the neighbouring planet Skonnos. (PROSE: Doctor Who and the Horns of Nimon)
The King of Aneth once met Seth, a young runaway, while travelling on the road. Seth made up a story, (TV: The Horns of Nimon) claiming to be a great hero and prince from a distant land (PROSE: Doctor Who and the Horns of Nimon) and the King believed it. (TV: The Horns of Nimon) Seth soon found himself volunteering to be a tribute, in the hopes he could defeat Nimon and bring the other sacrifices home in triumph. Seth confessed the deception to Romana, but asked her not to tell Teka because he was her only hope and she had confidence in him. (PROSE: Doctor Who and the Horns of Nimon) Romana swore on both her hearts that she would not reveal to Teka the story Seth told the King was a lie. (TV: The Horns of Nimon)
