Labeth was a city on Torcaldi. Most of the people of Labeth had their life forced drained by a time rift that was located in Pletra. The city was ruled by ruthless Balthar, who often set out to raid neighbouring cities, such as Cantosi. The First Doctor and Susan were taken to the city after they were captured by such raiders. Owing to its canals, the city reminded Barbara Wright of Venice and Amsterdam. (PROSE: The Ruins of Time)
