Linda Sosa was a cashier in Cardiff. She was one of several Cardiff residents influenced by an alien computer. She would share personal information with complete strangers. When Torchwood Three attempted to analyse the source of the strange behaviour, the computer interpreted this as an attack. It sent its heralds to locate and kill its enemies. Linda, Tommy Kincannon and Vic Royce pursued Jack Harkness and Owen Harper, but Jack convinced them he was also under the computer's influence. Linda took him to the computer, where he discovered the cause of the malfunction. He shut it down with his team, freeing Linda's mind. (AUDIO: Everyone Says Hello)
