Lionel Gadsden (1879-9 November 1965[1]) played an uncredited Old Aztec Man in the Doctor Who television story The Aztecs. (DWM 266) He is the earliest born actor to have appeared on Doctor Who, and the second person associated with the programme to die after Jean Conroy.

Doctor Who was Gadsden’s final acting role. He had a long stage career that included playing Captain Hook in J. M. Barrie’s play Peter Pan over 2,300 times[2].
