The Long-necked people were creatures who had abnormally long necks. At one point they held New Year celebrations last for two centuries.
Clara Oswald mentioned them to the Twelfth Doctor when they arrived at the Drum, and asked to revisit them to get back her sunglasses. (TV: Under the Lake)
