A Lotus Gloom was an alcoholic beverage that was consumed by standing in a bowl of the beverage.
Lotus Glooms were served at the Blue Moon Tavern. During a pub crawl with the Eleventh Doctor and Strax, Rory Williams ordered a Lotus Gloom and thought it smelt delicious. When he tried to drink it, the Doctor and Strax scolded him for not drinking it through his feet. (COMIC: Time Gentlemen, Please!)
