M. R. Samms was a supervisor at St Kitts Hospital, where he also dated his colleague Joanna. They conspired to get rid of Lauren Anderson by encouraging her to take a holiday, but she got back at them by using her new Zygon powers to impersonate Joanna to have sex with Samms.
Samms was later killed by Torlakh when he disguised himself as Lauren to frame her for murder, stabbing Samms in the stomach before fatally shooting him in the head. (HOMEVID: Zygon: When Being You Just Isn't Enough)
