Maesteg was a town in South Wales, close to the Bristol Channel. Just west of Maesteg was Port Talbot. To the north-west was Neath and to the north-east were Rhondda and Aberdare. South of Maesteg were Porthcawl and Pyle. (TV: The Categories of Life)
