Mahuika power station
The Mahuika power station was a power plant on Segonus IV, that fed energy to a quarter of the planet. It was constructed in remote region so as to prevent a potential meltdown from devastating everything with a fifty-mile radius.
A meltdown eventually occurred due to a combination of executive ineptitude, budget cuts, and staff shortages. The Thirteenth Doctor and Team TARDIS arrived during the meltdown to aid in the evacuation of the workers. After successfully bringing the meltdown to an end, the Doctor tried and failed to save a worker who had become trapped on a collapsing walkway, Harold Wyntonia, who recognised and was terrified of the Doctor due to the lies he had been fed about her by the Freedom Thoughtcast Network.
Shortly after, the network reported on the meltdown, where the story was twisted to present the Doctor as the individual behind it. (COMIC: Mistress of Chaos)
