Major Space-Time Rewrite

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

A Major Space-Time Rewrite or M.S.T.R. was a type of event described in the 'Anchoring of the thread' section of The Book of the War written by L. Miles. Dr Olivia Kagg Waldermein, in her 2323 paper Love & War: A Meta-Historical Investigation of the Dawn of the Cosmic Revolution, referenced Major Space-Time Rewrites, referring to several that took place over the course of Meta-History.

Waldermein wrote of the First Great Rewrite, "what is commonly regarded as the earliest Major Space-Time Rewrite," following which "a single time-active culture held absolute, hegemonic power over the space-time continuum," embedding its views into "the very substance of reality," including evolutionary trends and the laws of physics.

She then noted the Last Great Rewrite, the most recent Major Space-Time Rewrite from her perspective, in which the Atlanteans were involved and the "2150 invaders" also had a prominent role, which resulted from the Cosmic War. She stated that this Rewrite appeared to have "wiped out these beings, at least as an organised powerbase," but that the universe "still bears their unmistakable fingerprints" and that Fractallax was one of the few not to be destroyed. This Rewrite caused frustrations for its contemporaries as well as later Meta-Historians. (PROSE: Love & War [+]Loading...["Love & War (short story)"])
