Maria (Child of Time)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Maria was a girl who grew up in Venice in 1586.

Biography[[edit] | edit source]

The Sodality abducted Maria and told her she had special powers, etching runes onto her skin and skeleton. Maria accidentally used her latent abilities and phased out of her bonds and into the future. She had the ability of both a time sensitive and a time channeller combined, and was able to swim through time like water.

Arriving in 2586, she lived a solitary life, shunned by the human survivors who feared her powers. Unable to control her powers properly, she drifted between 2586 and 1586, growing up in both periods. Upon meeting Honoré Lechasseur and Emily Blandish, she travelled with them back to 1586, where Maria first began to take some control on her abilities. There they witnessed the first summoning of the Dæmon Mastho.

Returning to 2586 to witness Mastho's third and final summoning, the Dæmon revealed to all present that Maria was the Child of Time. When Mastho ordered her to obey him, she refused, moving through the time vortex to avoid him. She followed a timeship that flew alongside her to 1949. Finally cornered in by the Dæmon inside a building in Spitalfields market, Maria used her new surroundings to her advantage. She unleashed temporal energy at the building she had arrived in, causing it to collapse around her. A beam fell from the roof and hit her head, killing her before she hit the floor.
