Matheson Catcher was the head of the New York Renewal Society in Woodwicke.
He found the amaranth that Roz Forrester had lost. It changed his cellar into an unTARDIS. This led to a string of events that allowed the Carnival Queen back into the rational universe. The flood of irrationality that was released drove him insane. After the Queen's re-banishment, he was found catatonic in the forest outside Woodwicke. He was taken to Richmond Hospital, where he remained a patient and never recovered. (PROSE: Christmas on a Rational Planet)
