Michael Drake was a legendary figure in Samhain. He was the village's first Lord Mayor. He had seven wives, two of which were incarnations of Iris Wildthyme.
The Samhain elder church was built over Drake's grave. (PROSE: Michael Drake) A monument to Drake was placed outside the church. It read, "In memory of Michael Drake who kept the war from Samhain". (PROSE: Death of the Author, The Opera of Samhain, Michael Drake)
