MidTown

MidTown was a shanty town or "slum" on Gallifrey outside the Time Lord Capitol. (PROSE: The Ancestor Cell)
Unlike Low Town, another shanty town on and around the supports of the Capitol dome itself, (PROSE: The Eight Doctors, The Infinity Doctors) MidTown was on the side of a mountain overlooking the Capitol. Fitz Kreiner, familiar with such areas from Earth, believed its name was an attempt to hide the true impoverished nature of the town.
An underground Transtube system connected to the Capitol was accessible (or at least could be broken into) from MidTown. (PROSE: The Ancestor Cell)
