Midwife (Lucy Wilson & the Bledoe Cadets)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

A woman was encountered by Lucy Wilson on a couple of occasions.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

The woman left Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart a goodbye note shortly before his death. She later attended his funeral on 12 January 2012, and spoke with Conall Lethbridge-Stewart after the service. (PROSE: Lucy Wilson & the Bledoe Cadets) She left after her conversation with Conall. (PROSE: The Brigadier & the Bledoe Cadets) Notably, one account indicated that all of the incarnations of the Doctor were in attendance. (PROSE: The Gift)

On 2 June 2005, the midwife helped Lucy Wilson's mother to deliver Lucy during her home birth, with her grandad also helping; Lucy's dad was stuck in traffic. Outside the home, an older Lucy and her friend Hobo Kostinen were watching, having accidentally travelled back to 2005 but deciding to explore. The midwife delivered the newborn Lucy, handing her to her grandad, the two bonding instantly. The midwife went to leave, telling Lucy's dad where to find his family by the door, having just arrived. Just before vaulting the garden gate, the midwife had looked around, with the older Lucy sensing that the midwife looked at her, for a brief moment, and she realised she had seen the midwife before, at her grandad's funeral. (PROSE: The Midwife and the Alien)

Undated events[[edit] | [edit source]]

At one point, she was photographed with Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart. (PROSE: Avatars of the Intelligence)

She also sent a postcard to Alistair during his later years. (PROSE: When Times Change...)

Appearance[[edit] | [edit source]]

Lucy Wilson had found it odd that the midwife wasn't wearing scrubs but a rainbow-striped t-shirt with a long light-coloured coat over the top. (PROSE: The Midwife and the Alien)

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

While not named directly for legal reasons, this character is very clearly meant to parse the Thirteenth Doctor.
