Mini-sun

A mini-sun was a small, artificial star which could be placed in orbit of a planet in order to heat and light its surface. A system of mini-suns were rigged up in orbit of Cimmeria IV by Throxillian explorers and miners, who intended to exploit the planet for commercial purposes. Their activation was stopped when the Cimmerians living on the planet blanketed the base in particles that disrupted electronic circuits, disabling the mini-sun system. (AUDIO: Embrace the Darkness)
