In the 13th century, Europe was invaded by the Mongol Empire. The First Doctor claimed that it was the largest invasion Europe had ever seen. Following their siege of Kiev in 1240, the Mongols attacked both Poland and and Hungary. (PROSE: Bunker Soldiers)
