Monkstone Abbey Health Spa was a health retreat in South Wales within a building formerly used as an asylum. They offered yoga, hydrotherapy, hot stone massages and pilates and had a swimming pool with contained an underwater treadmill, massage points and a jacuzzi.
Jack Harkness went to Monkstone with Jonty during the later stages of his pregnancy with Junior. However, Junior psychically influenced Paula and the residents into being hostile, making Jack go into labour and forcing him and Jonty to flee to Penarth Pier. (AUDIO: Expectant)
