Morok Empire

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

The Morok Empire was the empire of the Moroks, which lasted for 700 years and extended across the Nine Galaxies. This expansion was due to their battle fleets of adaptable battle cruisers. (PROSE: Deep Blue)

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

One of the planets in the empire was Xeros, 3 light-years away from the homeworld, where the Moroks established the Space Museum in honour of the empire's achievements. (TV: The Space Museum)

While the Morok Space Museum generally held trophies of empires that the Morok Empire had defeated, historians did not believe that the Skaro City Dalek among the exhibits was indicative of the Morok Empire ever defeating the Daleks. Rather it was suspected either that the lone Dalek had been an overpowered Scout Dalek or a piece of Dalek refuse that the Moroks had claimed. (PROSE: The Whoniverse) The Time Lords theorised that the Dalek had been one of the combatants of the Thal-Dalek battle, its inert shell claimed by a Morok scouting party who visited Skaro. (PROSE: Dalek Combat Training Manual)

One account suggested that a stolen time vessel, which the Cybermen used in an attempt to destroy Earth prematurely, was in fact a Morok Time Vessel from the decaying Morok Empire, observing that the Moroks were one of the few species with limited time travel capabilities at that time of the Second Cyber Wars. After building an army, the New Dalek Paradigm constructed a series of space fortresses along their border with the Morok Empire. (PROSE: Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe)

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • The Dalek Handbook suggests that expeditionary forces from the Morok Empire were among potential suspects who may have accidentally restored power to the Dalek City on Skaro and revived the Daleks sometime after the events of The Daleks, since Morok spacecrafts were among many thought to have once visited Skaro, judging by the Dalek casing present in their museum.
