Mr Fizzle was a "sizable" puppet ferret carried in his pocket by Charles, the eccentric leader of SIGNET. When he found young Norah Fitzgerald under the thrall of Hervy the Hervoken, Charles tried to distract her with the sight of Mr Fizzle dancing about, but due to the psychic hold the pumpkin entity had on Norah, she uncharacteristically wouldn't pay him any mind.
