In 2065, scientists at the Naples Laboratory of Seismographic Studies issued a warning to the Vesuvius area because pressure within the volcano was building up and an eruption was expected within twenty-four hours. (COMIC: Power Play) This prediction proved to be accurate, although the reason for the eruption was Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward detonating an explosive handbag in Mr Steelman's base, which was located beneath Vesuvius.
