Nathan Hobb was the captain of the Outcome, a time-ship dedicated to cruises through time, for a reasonable cost. He had bought the time engines second hand from the Maldovarium. This caused a pathogenic fungus which was on board to mutate into a more potent version on each time jump. (AUDIO: Backtrack)
