Miss Nethercott was an astrologer. Adelaide Lessage visited her every month and considered her to be the finest astrologer, saying her predictions were never wrong. In the 1900s, Nethercott waned her that the stars boded ill and, when she came to be stranded on Fang Rock, Lessage remembered the warning. She was killed soon after by a Rutan scout.
