Caleera used a neural amplifier, which Helen Sinclair described it as looking like Heath Robinson's nightmare, to hone her psychic powers. She used it to kill a number of prisoners, including a husband, as well as to destroy the planet of the Voord. She tricked the Eighth Doctor and Helen Sinclair into helping her use her full powers without the amplifier, in the course of which it was destroyed. (AUDIO: Scenes From Her Life)
