Nick Willard
From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
Nick Willard was an American tourist who visited London in the 1970s.
Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]
Nick had spent the night locked in a Underground station after missing the last train, and thus avoided being hypnotised by the Zerons. He helped the Third Doctor defeat the invaders.
He was the cousin of Jed Felix. (COMIC: Zeron Invasion)
Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Nick Willard was the first black companion, and indeed the first person of colour to fill the role, in any medium, in Doctor Who history.
- Because Nick was a one-off character in 1972 for the comic strip story Zeron Invasion, Sharon Davies — later introduced in 1980's Doctor Who and the Star Beast — instead holds the title of first recurring POC companion.
