Njordr Nerthus

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Njordr Nerthus was the third and furthest of Trion's moons.

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

It was lacking in minerals and native lifeforms, possessing a poisonous atmosphere which required visitors to wear a spacesuit and limited the view of the sky. These factors meant that Trions visited Cu Chulainn and Cu Roi far more often.

The owners of Njordr Nethus, as a result, made very little money from it and resorted to making up various lies, such as that females born on the moon were the most beautiful in the near-galaxy and that visitors to Trion (which included the Laima) made their primary settlements there, a rumour which was quickly derided by scientists, archaeologists and historians. Despite this, the general public believed it, marking the beginning of tourism on Njordr Nethus. The moon did already have a Central Museum, but its President was displeased by the developments as his museum contained little more than a small collection of rocks.

Under the Old Regime, creatures were sent to Njordr Nerthus with the hope that they might mutate into creatures that could survive the hostile environment. None of them were successful. (PROSE: Turlough and the Earthlink Dilemma)
