The Duke of Norfolk wanted his niece, Katherine Howard, to marry King Henry VIII. Norfolk imprisoned the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa. When King Henry started to show interest in Nyssa, Norfolk didn't object, because his hatred of Thomas Cromwell meant that he would accept any prospect as queen except for Cromwell's choice, Anne of Cleves. The Doctor helped ensure that Norfolk's niece became the next queen. (PROSE: God Send Me Well to Keep)
