- 1989 - Following the completion of Survival, Sylvester McCoy recorded the Seventh Doctor's poignant final monologue for the closing shot of part three showing the Doctor and Ace heading back to the TARDIS and further, unseen adventures.
- 2005 - Big Finish's Sarah Jane Smith story Fatal Consequences was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2006 - The readthrough for Human Nature / The Family of Blood took place.
- 2010 - Big Finish's audio adaptation of the unproduced TV story The Elite was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2012 - The Big Finish audio story Moonflesh was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2016 - Filming began on Extremis.
- 2018 - Big Finish's audio anthology The Sixth Doctor and Peri: Volume One was recorded at the Moat Studios.

- The BBC announced the animated recreation of the third episode of The Web of Fear, scheduled for release in 2021.
- The BBC confirmed that John Barrowman was reprising the role of Captain Jack Harkness in the festive special, officially titled Revolution of the Daleks.
- The BBC announced the Blu-ray steelbook box set of The 50th Anniversary Collection.

- The BBC announced the animated recreation of The Abominable Snowmen.
- Big Finish's audiobook anthology Short Trips: Volume 11 was recorded.
- 2022 - Big Finish announced the audio series Once and Future, their contribution to Doctor Who's 60th anniversary.
