O'Brien was the captain of the HMS Alexander, which was inside a quartzberg. He rescued Nyssa, the Fifth Doctor and Kate Sherrin from a sea of crystals. He initially served Mulkris and then Eldrad. (AUDIO: Eldrad Must Die!)
