Only other chair on Skaro

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
The "only other chair on Skaro" other than Davros's chair. (TV: The Witch's Familiar)

The "only other chair on Skaro" was once fetched by Davros out of civility towards the bipedal Twelfth Doctor. He joked that, as it had not been "easy to procure", and was "very nearly unique, of course" (the only other chair on the planet being his own mobile chair), the Twelfth Doctor should feel "privileged" to be using it. 26 March 1455 was the date that the last chair was manufactured on Skaro. (PROSE: Time Traveller's Diary)

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • In The Curse of Fatal Death [+]Loading...["The Curse of Fatal Death (TV story)"], chairs are used to accomodate the captive Ninth Doctor and his companion Emma aboard a Dalek spaceship. When Emma asks the Daleks why they have chairs aboard their spaceship, one replies "we will explain later", a running gag in the sketch. Incidentally, both The Curse of Fatal Death and The Witch's Familiar were written by Steven Moffat.
