Ood 1 Alpha 1 was an Ood, part of the Walker Expedition to planet Krop Tor, orbiting black hole K37 Gem 5.
Along with the rest of the Ood on Sanctuary Base 6, he was possessed by the Beast. After being knocked unconscious by a telepathic flare by crew member Danny Bartock, Ood 1 Alpha 1 died with the other 49 Ood on the base, when Krop Tor was sucked into the black hole, free of the Beast's control. Ood 1 Alpha 1 and the other Ood all received posthumous honours from Captain Zachary Cross Flane. (TV: The Satan Pit)

In the script, Zach goes as far as "Ood 1 alpha 6". The final cut of the episode, however, ends with his acknowledgement of Ood 1 Alpha 2.
