Operation Crossbow was a military operation which took place on Earth during the mid-20th century.
The Third Doctor compared his mission to track down the magnetoid in 2520 to Operation Crossbow, but when he found that there was a deeper conspiracy at work, he found a more apt comparison in Operation Mincemeat. (AUDIO: Conspiracy in Space)
