Ornithologist (Instruments of Darkness)
A famous ornithologist lived in Jamaica during the 1950s. During or prior to his sixth incarnation, the Doctor took the ornithologist to see a living dodo in the 1800s, (PROSE: Instruments of Darkness) despite an alternate account that the bird was extinct by 1681. (PROSE: The Last Dodo) The ornithologist gifted the Doctor a pair of binoculars to show his gratitude. The Doctor then introduced the ornithologist to a British author who moved the West Indies and planned to write a series of novels inspired by his own undercover military career. (PROSE: Instruments of Darkness)

The ornithologist being referenced is James Bond, who inspired Ian Fleming to name his fictional spy James Bond. In real life, Fleming chose the name James Bond from Bond's book Birds of the West Indies prior to meeting him in person.
