Ostrecallis Mediosai

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Ostrecallis Mediosai, sometimes called Dream Flowers, was a flower which was notorious for its hallucinogenic effects. The extract of Ostrecallis Mediosai could create a psychic link between those that consumed it.

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

Originated from Ostrecallis Major, the Dream Flowers were thought extinct when the planet was destroyed. In fact, some seeds of the flowers survived and drifted through space before landing in a valley on Strellin. The seeds flourished in the valley unbeknowst to everyone except a local group of monks who named themselves after the Dream Flowers. The monks consumed extract from the flowers and achieved a peaceful collective mind.

This all changed when Daleks crashed on Strellin and were nursed back to health by the monks. The Black Dalek consumed flower extract and took control of the monks' collective mind. The Daleks planned to harvest all of the Dream Flowers from their valley and synthesise a perfume which could be sprayed on enemies of the Daleks to make them mindless slaves. One monk resisted the Daleks and burned all of the flowers, save one, before the Daleks could harvest them. Once the Sixth Doctor defeated the Daleks, the final Dream Flower was given to a monk named Rosco to protect. (AUDIO: Order of the Daleks)
