Murdering Elias Hoodreim[[edit] | [edit source]]

As an ex-jockey, Reynolds tamed a horse, which he considered the best horse he'd ever tamed. He made a deal with Wall Street tycoon Elias Hoodreim where he'd sell the horse to him, leading Hoodreim to store the money for the purchase in a safe.

On the day the trade was meant to take place, Pacer Reynolds made use of his small size, sneaking through Hoodreim's office through the vents, unbeknownst to Hoodreim's personal secretary, Lavinia Smith. Making it into the same room as Hoodreim on the twenty-third floor, he pushed the tycoon out of the window and stole the money before making his escape. (COMIC: Who Killed Elias Hoodreim? Investigated by the Los Angeles Homicide Bureau[[edit] | [edit source]]

After the murder, he was among those interrogated by Captain Amos Burke and Tim Tilson of the Los Angeles Homicide Bureau, being interrogated after Lavinia Smith mentioned Hoodreim's plans to make a deal with him. After investigating the office again, Burke and Tilson found that the grille of the air vent moved easily, and was just the right size to fit Reynolds, leading to them apprehending him as he attempted to escape at the airport.
