Pandora was a planet. The Pandora Spindle, a human genetic research facility, orbited the planet during the 26th century. After Sontara was destroyed by the Rutan Host, the Sontarans took control of Pandora and made it their new homeworld, using the racepool they brought with them to recreate their race.
