At Adipose Industries, parthenogenesis was the term used to described the process by which its customers' fat was converted into Adiposians. In crises, bone, hair, and internal organs could also be converted.

The process was activated by a bio-tuned pendant given to customers upon purchase of a three week pill diet. Matron Cofelia had a master inducer which activated full parthenogenesis in everyone who had taken an Adipose pill. (TV: Partners in Crime)

The gold pendants included bioflip-digital-stitch circuitry that allowed Matron Cofelia to track the Adipose after parthenogenesis. (PROSE: Doctor Who: The Encyclopedia)

Baby Station Beta was described as a parthenogenesis machine by the Fifteenth Doctor. In this case, human babies were being artificially created. (TV: Space Babies [+]Loading...["Space Babies (TV story)"])

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

In biology, parthenogenesis is a form of asexual reproduction where an egg can develop into an organism without fertilisation by a sperm cell.
