Patrice Okereke was a friend of Mickey Smith and a member of his Bad Wolf band. He was the "gangling, grinning joker of the pack".
Patrice was holding down three jobs and saving for the day he could leave home and escape his mother's sullen boyfriend. As such, he sometimes slept at Mickey's house.
He was out with his bandmates Sally Salter and Mook Jayasundera when the Nestene invasion of Earth began and only narrowly survived after the trio were cornered by several Autons before they were deactivated. After the ordeal, Patrice started a romantic relationship with Mook. (PROSE: Rose)

All three members of Bad Wolf (excluding Mickey) are original to the novelisation and do not appear in the original television episode. Alternative versions of Mook and Patrice later appear in AUDIO: The Last Party on Earth, in which Patrice is played by Syrus Lowe.
