Peter Dyneley (13 April 1921-19 August 1977[1]) voiced Jeff Tracy in all thirty-two episodes of the supermarionation television series Thunderbirds, as well as the two films Thunderbirds Are Go and Thunderbird 6. This included the first series episode The Man from MI.5, which crossed over into the Doctor Who universe by featuring the Daleks. Dyneley played many guest characters over the two series and films and reprised all his roles for the French, Spanish, and German dubs. He also provided the iconic voice-over for the opening sequence of each episode which was reused for the revival series Thunderbirds Are Go in 2015.

In World War II, Dyneley served in the Royal Canadian Navy. He acted primarily in stage productions prior to 1954 and accrued many credits in smaller roles on film and in television between 1954 and his final role in 1977. He was the uncredited narrator of the 1962 film The Day of the Triffids and appeared in one episode of Z-Cars.
