Pickering power station was a nuclear power plant located on the shores of Lake Ontario near Toronto, Canada. In 2040, it was nearly seventy years old and due to be decommissioned. That year, the CIA secretly aided a terrorist group attempting to blow up the power station so they could publicly defeat them, thus convincing Canada to give control of its military to America. The terrorist plot was defeated and the CIA plot exposed by the Seventh Doctor, Roz Forrester (both of whom had infiltrated the group) and Chris Cwej, who was having visions of an alternate timeline in which the station did explode.
