Prime Mover

The Prime Mover was the universal guardian of the Event Synthesizer, which he used to help keep the universe running harmoniously. The demon Melanicus was released when the Mover played a discordant note in the 1980s. Melanicus stole the Event Synthesizer, and used it to start the Millennium Wars. After Melanicus was destroyed with the help of the Fifth Doctor, the Synthesizer was returned to the Prime Mover. (COMIC: The Tides of Time)
