Ptela was an Ancetetian. His brother was Roshon.
When the Thrematons invaded his planet, and the Third Doctor and Jo Grant arrived to help the Ancetetians, Ptela fell in love with Jo. He tried to kill the Doctor so that Jo would choose to stay with him. (PROSE: The Bad Guy)
